Debbie was born in Miami, Florida, and grew up in Long Beach, Mississippi. She attended Louisiana State University where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Audiology. She moved to North Carolina in 2000 to escape the humidity of the Deep South.

Debbie’s clinical experience includes working at the Veteran’s Administration, University of North Carolina, Louisiana School for the Deaf, and in private practices. She has also contracted with the local school system and has extensive experience working with children. She enjoys supervising Audiology graduate students and dispensing hearing protection, hearing aids, and cochlear implants to children and adults.

Debbie enjoys spending time with her family and working with rescued horses. She and her husband, Matt, have 15 pets including a Goose, named Goose. After taking care of all the pets, she does find time for a bit of cooking and hiking.
